Referral from GP
Doctor with Files

I found it a very positive experience, everyone was very caring, and it was a lovely alternative to being given antidepressants.

Link Worker

  • Patient had low mood and was being investigated for joint pain.

  • Her two sons live far away, she was home alone didn’t do much as she struggled to find things to do that she enjoyed.

  • Her wellbeing was a concern for the GP.

  • Referred patient to arts on prescription for therapeutic intervention and social interaction.

  • Referred to MIND pottery course for therapeutic benefits and social interaction.

  • Referred to wellbeing hub for support accessing gardening and singing groups and for info on frazzled café for talking therapy.

  • Gave client number for money advice support so she could access support if needed.

The client was very happy with the outcome and she felt significantly more hopeful and better in herself.

She was appreciative that alternatives to antidepressants were offered as supportive mechanisms and was engaging well with these therapies
